2012, Sheffield, 3,000 guests and 35 high-profile speakers attended MADE – the country’s biggest and most inspiring two-day festival/master class for entrepreneurship.
I was invited as a student/budding entrepreneur guest speaker to take part in a panel discussion and debate how teaching and learning needs to change to ensure that students have the entrepreneurial skills required for the world of work.
Whilst commenting on the topic of education I noticed that people really jumped on my train of thought and this was later confirmed throughout the day after a number of speakers quoted me in their talks. Whilst on the train journey home and reflecting on what I had said and the impact it had made the concept of OUTABOX was born.
